launched in 2015, we have been working to recognize and broaden the community of Black international travelers.

What's the issue

In the 2012-2013 academic year, out of the total amount of American students who participated in a study abroad program, only 5.3% identified as African American. This was the first year the percentage ever rose above 5%.

In response, we...

  • Document and share the narratives of Black students study/travel abroad and Black professionals who work in international fields

  • Foster cross-cultural relationship building of Black college students with college students from other nations, as well as foreign language acquisition through curated travel journeys and a global cities cultural exchange program
